A comic for your (possible) enjoyment

I was bored the other day, so I made this comic. (You have to click on it to get a good view of it)

I am not sure how funny it is, but if it is, I might make more. Please give me your thoughts on either the Classic Space.com thread (Link on bottom of post) or on a comment here. Just as a bit of background info so you can decifer the comic if it is not apperant:

In every SciFi show/movie that I have watched, they all have different forms of going faster than light. My examples are: Star Trek has warpspeed, Star Wars has lightspeed, Stargate has hyperspace windows (This and SW are the closest), and Battlestar Galactica has FTL drives

I have not named this comment, but if I do make more, a name would be appreciated.

It will slice you to peices

Dano puts to use those rather useless (IMO) Buzz saw pieces in his creation built this for Space Pirates contest on Flickr, and I must say, this is certainly what I call a ship for Space Pirates.

This is what NBT is all about

Smooth lines- Check

Right Balance of colors- Check

Lots of guns- Check

Another creation by OptimalControl, this one being a spaceship designed for NBT, though the giant fig is still cool.

From the creator of the Blacktron II....

This ship was made for the recent Neo-Blacktron 1 fad that has pooped up, and I am loving it! Nathan Proud love makes use of those terribly annoying eye bricks that every seems to accumulate. At least if you buy lots of Freestyle sets. And those big guns.....
If you feel like reading the short but interesting backstory, or just like to see the rest of the pics, go here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/proudlove/3551693939/in/pool-neoblacktron

Two Science Vessels

And these ones are my creations!

They don't have any backstory what so ever. I built them because I had some figs and the right color of peices left over, so these were built.
The whole gallerys on brickshelf when public:
And the Blacktron 1 ship on Flickr:
Hope you enjoy!

A new trend

Just what I need to keep this blog going for a couple months:

Can you say awsome? I can

Apparently Optimal Control can build awesome. This giant Blacktron I minifig is at 6 times the scale of a regular minifig, which implies that it must be 6 times as cool. which it is.

And to make it even cooler, it is a giant mech! Now isn't that cool! Look in his Flickr account to see what I am talking about.

Now if only there was a Blacktron II one of these guys.

The first one

Someone had to be first. Dali Zheng was the first one to enter the contest. His entry is his Venus Shrike. Look here for more pictures on the remake: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37867493@N04/3516324897/in/set-72157617358948577/
And look here for more pictures of the original: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37867493@N04/3484135811/
He mentioned on Flickr that the Prize is a little skimpy, so I'll see if I can rumage up some more stuff.

Aerial Devastator

This isn't exactly new, but it's not as if a new Blacktron creation pops up every day. Besides, Uspez Morbo's Aerial Devastator deserves to be shown. Things that I especially like about this ship (Other than the obvious) is the double cockpit, and the sleek, new look to it. Oh, and it is based off a set, and that is always awsome.

Okay.....

This creation just recently popped up on Flickr by user Aaron, and I am blown away on how...... odd...... it is. Aaron calls it the "Skull and Bones Mecha". I call it one of the strangest Blacktron creations ever built. But, all told, it's weirdness doesn't really detract from it's overall awsomeness.
Look here to look at it at different angles: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cbla_member/3484378671/

Contest Prize!

Instead of just adding this to the original post, I decided to give it it's own post. I did this for several reasons, one being you might not look at the original post.

Commader Valkrie is Awsome

You may already know this, but Classic Space user KDog has recently finished his Meteor Madness comic series, which heavily featured a Blacktron I female named Commander Valkrie. This last comic actually doesn't show her, but just take a peek at the rest of the story, and you will see what I am talking about

The link to Lego Space comic so you can check it out: (If you haven't yet)http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/?p=552434

Another plus, the first Lego Space Comic was about a Blacktron II, so that's a plus!

It's big, It's Blacktron, and it has a big gun

What more do you need? Flickr user Uspez Morbo's Kingpin has it all. Got a Space Police problem? Call the Kingpin
He created this back in February, but it deserves to be shown. (And the fact that it is awsome has nothing to do with it.

Color it Blacktron contest!

On Classic Space, ColorSchemer came up with a brilliant idea. A contest for this blog.

And so this contest is born.

The contest is:

Rebuild a ship that you built. You can use any ship that YOU built.

Rules:

  • It must have been built by you.

  • It must be in either Blacktron I or Blacktron II color schemes (I want no Space Police colored creations).

  • You may have some leeway concerning cockpits, seeing as there is only a limited amount of Trans-neon green cockpits. Try and keep the cockpits reasonable. I don't think I want to see trans purple on the ship.

  • No clones.

  • I would prefer it to be fig scale, but if it is microscale, or Technic even, I won't disqualify them.

  • It cannot be a remake of an existing Blacktron creation, or of any Blacktron set, or any other set for that matter.

Contest closes on Midnight, May 30, 2009, so get building! (Use your own timezone)

There will be a prize for first place only. (Look three post above this one.)

Concerning entries:

May the Force be your guide in building a totally awsome ship.

An oldie, but a Goodie

Nathan Proudlove's Blacktron II may be a couple of years old, but it will never cease to amaze me how awsome this ship is.

If you haven't bookmarked this, (I did!) then check out the rest of the Blacktron II goodness here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=241636
