More of what I was thinking of

Yeah, if I were to have Pimped Rey's Speeder, it would have looked more like this one by Commander Beltar:

Though the Blacktron 1 speeder that I posted the other day I feel was more true to the original speeder. And I am not sure about that fleshie head....

Stolen Speeders

The folks over at The Brothers Brick are running a contest to Pimp Rey's Speeder, but it looks like some Blacktron's got their grubby little hands on one.

Scott Hutchinson is the builder, and all I can say is, dang you beat me too it! (Though I would have done a Blacktron 2 version.)

A look through history

Here is the picture you have never been waiting for, all of my large scale, non fighter Blacktron II ships all in one shot!

Technically one is missing, but you have to figure out which one it is! All in all, I count 23 ships, and 8 SHIPS.

It's a fairly poor edit job, but give me a break, it was my first time doing such a thing.

Join the Blacktrons, we have cupcakes

Star Wars mania is growing and growing, and the movie is still 55 days away! (But who's counting?)
Jeremy Croft combines our two favorite evil empires into one with this cute little MOC
The minifigs are all cleverly done, but the backdrop is the star of this show.

SHIPtember round up

So, once again, SHIPtember happened. There was once again, over 100 SHIPs. And once again, There were Blacktron ships. (None by me, as most of my Blacktron parts were tied up in my Pulsar Requin) All three this year were Blacktron 1, and all very cool.

Adam Dodge had this super cool (And super modular!) Intercept Invader:

Jeremy Green has this microscale Reaper Class Destroyer

And thirdly, Michael Steindl also submitted his Missile Boat, which is one of my top 3 favorite Blacktron SHIPs ever.

No, I'm not dead

It's just been another one of those "Months where I have been lazy, and Blacktron creations have been few"

But enough about my life, you come here to see Blacktron creations, and here is a lovely little landing pad and spaceship combo by Stephan Niehoff
I love the rear wings, very reminiscent of a Bi-plane, but backwards! And by the looks of things, there is more to come, as the builder calls this Projekt "Blacktron II Special Forces" Part 1 "Fighter Class TALON"

Dream come true

Whenever I see digital creations, I always wonder what they would look like in the brick. It rarely ever happens that the builder actually converts digital to physical, but Michael Steindl decided to buck that trend!

Estimated time of interception-

-Is mere seconds.

Luc Byard has done a great rendition of the Blacktron 2's flagship vessel, the Aerial Intruder. I lvoe the original set, and it was my first Blacktron set I acquired, so I have a bit of a soft spot for it. I also find it challenging to build a good neo version or whatever of it, so I always appreciate it when I see others MOC it.

A couple of complaints, is the clear canopies, but the ones he used don't come in the wonderful trans neon green, and the lime. I am not fond of lime.

Space bikers

This nifty 'Space Bike' by ama77what shows that Blacktrons don't only ride spaceships and tanks, they can also swoop around on their bikes.

Another Wheeled Terror

Seems that the Blacktron are on some sort of ground invasion. Most of the MOCS that have popped up recently have been the wheeled variety. Like this Mega Core Magnetizer inspired creation by Grzergorz Ludwiczek called Turtle one

A bit more yellow and trans red would have been nice, but overall, quite a tough armored looking vehicle.

And the winners are......

First place in the Colour it Blacktron IV contest goes to the Blacktron Intimidator by Commander Beltar:

A pretty cool and nifty vehicle. I love the huge wheels and huge end. Also got some nice angles going there, and that Triforce symbol is awesome

Second place goes to the Fleebnork Extermination Mech by Purple Wolf:

A very complicated little mech, Had a wee bit of an advantage as I saw this one in person.

Please contact me if you want to get your prize!

Now that's talent

I am impressed by people who can build such large things virtually. I have no talent to do so (Mind you, I tried all of once) and seeing such huge creations, such as this Missle Boat by Michael Steindl makes me wonder about the sanity of such people.

Nevertheless, this is a cool creation, and I would love it if it was in the brick, but I doubt I will get to see my wish. Such a unique looking ship too.

Blacktron tank

Flickr user Alkinoos built this lovely little tank

Wait, did I just call a tank lovely? Whatever, It's Blacktron, it's a tank, you will call it whatever they tell you to call it.

Once again Flickr has "improved" their website, which meant it took me at least 4 extra steps to share this creation. Will they ever stop? Not until they have ticked off everyone on the planet, is my guess.

Micro evil

Sorry about the lack of posts, but with a lack of material to blog, what else is to be expected (Also, I have been busy and/or tired most of the time.)

But here is a nice little micro scene to keep your attention for a tiny bit. Shannon Sproule built it. I quite like the simple spacecraft. It's basically two parts and a sticker. Brilliant usage.

Pulsar Requin

Time to reset that bar. I present to you, my largest SHIP to date. Measuring 260 studs (6 feet, 9 inches) the Pulsar Requin is 100 studs (The length of an entire SHIP!) longer then my previous largest SHIP, the Epsilon Corvus. This is even longer than the Dalek was tall, by 18 inches!)

If you want to see more, click here!

I really need to stop building so big. I don't have much building space!

Bring in the heavy guns

Grzegorz Ludwiczek built a Blacktron 1 invasion force (Can you call it anything else, really?), and the biggest eye-catcher is the cruiser. It just looks so mean and nasty. i wouldn't want to be some poor Space Police, fighting a war, then seeing this beast coming down at you.

They must be up to something

There hasn't been much Blacktron to blog lately, and yet I somehow missed this rendition of the Blacktron 1 set Battrax, built by Dorian glacet.

Though I can explain why there hasn't been much from me for the last couple of months. If you follow me on Flickr, you will know what I am talking about.

OMR #3 Alpha Orion, The Lost Ship

Been a while since I posted anything here. Not many creations to post, really busy holidays, and a good dose of laziness will do that. So I'll just do another OMR (That's Old MOC Review)

This one is a very unique spaceship, as I never took pictures of it. I was lucky that my dad randomly took these pictures, otherwise I would have no evidence that this MOC existed, outside of my and my two younger brother's memories.

The Alpha Orion was over 100 studs, that much I recall, and I had built it just to have a bigger ship than my youngest brother. This ship is much cooler than I remember. I never took pictures of it because I wasn't happy with it (I do recall the engines were just the wheels from the Spectral Starguider), but looking back at it now, this is a pretty cool ship.
That's me int he red shirt, many years ago.

I recently built a ship that was inspired by the Alpha Orion, the Epsilon Corvus, but the resemblance isn't that great.

I really regret not taking pictures of the Alpha Orion now. But it will always reside in my memory (And that of my younger brothers) as that ship that looked really good crashed.

Exterior: 7/10. Looks quite cluttered, but also greeblied. Really hard to tell with the small pictures.
Interior: 7/10. Only going off of memory here, but I remember it had a lot of cool stuff.
Nostalgia 9/10. One of the most fun games involved this ship crashing, and I really wish I had more pictures of this.
Colour is Blacktron! 9.5/10. Only really problem I can find with this, is not quite enough white.
Swooshablity: 6/10 I don't think this swooshed to well, as I remember it most as being crashed.

Overall: 7.7/10. Higher than the Alpha Centauri, but lower than the Talana.
