Star Wars fever

It's possible I  may have blogged this before, I certainly recall seeing before, but since I'm in such a Star Wars swing, I thought I'd post it anyways.

Bongobert built this lovely X-wing fighter, obviously stolen and heavily modified. The Jolly Rogers on the wings are a nice touch.

But don't fret, Blacktron will steal from the First Order too, as shown to us by Jesse Horn with his recoloured First Order TIEs.

MFP Tony

NAME: Tony Siborg
NICKNAME: Technic Man
AGE: 498
CURRENT ASSIGNMENTFEZ
BACKGROUND: Tony is the son of Sammy Cyborg, hence, he has an extremely long lifespan, but he only remembers that last 30-35 years at any given time. His dad sent him out into the galaxy at the age of 400 or so, and after a few decades of wandering about, he got into a incident with the Blacktrons, was imprisoned, scheduled for termination, when Dr. Winks found him, and recruited him into FEZ.
BEHIND THE SCENES: Tony was the first member of FEZ. (Sort of....) I one day just wanted to make a Blacktron technic figure, so I aqcuired the parts then made. Then I wanted to do the same for every other kind of minifig (Friends, martians, microfig, ect.) Next thing I know, I had a whole group, and the beginnings of FEZ was formed.
ACQUIRED: Bricklink

Blacktron 1.5

Locutus shows us what happens when the Blacktron 1 start stealing form the Blacktron 2.

Now I want to see all the Blacktron 2 sets done in Blacktron 1 style. And vise versa!

Trying to find witty title and failing....

You may recognize certain parts of this base by Stephan Niehoff (I have posted enough of his stuff now I can write his name without making any mistakes), for I have posted parts of it before, but now he has completed his base and it is quite impressive. everything from boats, to trains, to spaceships to soccer balls!

There are many pictures to go through, so make sure to check them out.

My favorite part is still the crates using dice parts and custom tiles. I want some. The landing pad inspired by the official Lego landing pad baseplates is also pretty neat.

Space Camping

anries sho shows us what it's like to go camping when you are an evil space dude.

An awesome, fun little creation. I dunno why, but I love the trans red octagons on the side.

MFP Daisy

NAME: Daisy
NICKNAME: Stupid, Useless, Surfboard, Shield
AGE: ?????.....?
CURRENT ASSIGNMENT: FEZ
BACKGROUND: No one really knows what Daisy's background. He/she/it simply wandered out of Dr. Wink's lab one day saying "Hi there" to everyone.
BEHIND THE SCENES: Another member of FEZ (I said I was going to do this every Friday, but I SHOULD have mentioned that I am going to do this on Fridays where they go and meet their family.
ACQUIRED: Interesting story. The head of this guy belongs to one of my oldest Lego sets. When I acquired the set, I have no idea, but I am fairly certain it was 1850 Freestyle set Polybag. I have no way of confirming this outside of finding a time machine, but the parts fit with what I had. I had no inner struggles with taking a Sharpie to the head to get the neon green visor effect. The rest of the body I simply built to resemble a Blacktron II minifig and the normal "body" piece those "figures" had.

MFP Axel Erate

Anyone remember these? No?

NAME: Axel Erate
NICKNAME: Stinky
AGE: ?????
CURRENT ASSIGNMENT: FEZ
BACKGROUND: Axel Erate is a Xalaxian. Therefore, he has a love for three things. farting, racing, and farting. He heard about an intergalactic race. Unfortunately, halfway through the race, he crashed into a Blacktron racer, and was imprisoned by the Blacktrons. He wasn't incarcerated for long, however as Doctor Winks found about him. He released him from prison, under the condition that he join the newly formed special ops team Fleebnork Extermination, Zeta squad, or FEZ. An excellent pilot, his talents were put to use
BEHIND THE SCENES: This guy is one of the 14 members of FEZ, who I will be spotlighting on Fridays (I'm a day late this time...), as their storyline in my comic will be focusing on their past. FEZ is full of various forms of minifigs (Duplo, Homemaker, techinc, etc.)I custom made. This guy was on of the easiest, though Sharpying his arms wasn't too easy. You can check out the Comic here, Updates Fridays!
ACQUIRED: Bricklink, 2013.

When worlds collide

Little known fact #1: I like Bionicle

Little known fact #2: The title is very punny if you know the Bionicle story.

So here is what happens when I build my self-MOC. Bionicle and Blacktron (Plus Pirate! And Star Wars!)

Little known fact #3: This is the first, and maybe the last, MOC I have ever built that could be on all three of the blogs that I have (This one, my defunct Pirate on, and the Bionicle one I share with my brother.
I am really happy with how the head turned out.

This isn't the first Blacktron Bionicle I have built. Kotonn here was first. He is part of FEZ. Remember that? Yeah, it's still a thing, Updates Fridays.

Step 1: Grab a boat hull

David Alexander Smith gives us this delightful info on how to use old ship hulls.

To sum it up, boat hull + Blacktron = instant awesome

Super Nova 100

Every year, at this time, a great contest rolls around. That contest is SHIPtember. This year, I built an Iceplanet SHIP, but I also built a Blacktron 2 SHIP (Shocking, I know)

This is, to my count, my ninth Blacktron 3 SHIP, but this one is unique. This one is piloted by a single being, and that being is a Bionicle.

Introducing the Super Nova 100

Yeah, it's a giant Super Nova 2. But imagine yourself as a M-tron, flying your Stellar Recon Voyager. you see up ahead a Super Nova. You feel you can easily take on this lonely little fighter. And then it gets closer. Bigger. Mightier. and Then you, as a little M-tron, realize how foolish your plan was.

I mean, look at the size of that thing!

Outer Patrol Craft

Sometimes builds start with a plan. Long months of thinking, sometimes drawing out plans. Those also tend to be the big, large ships that also take weeks to build. Other times, I have parts, start fiddling with them, and all of a sudden, get his with some inspiration, and a couple days later, boom, a new ship.

This ship is one of those latter ones. it started with getting those tread pieces and that Technic spoiler in a bunch of parts from Value Village. Couple evenings of building, and I have this rather chunky fighter.

I am most pleased with the nose of the fighter, always wanted to use that black cockpit and it's reverse together, but never could figure out how.

More pictures here, if you are interested!

Blacktron goes real.

I was sent this piece of art, depicting a "real life" Blacktron 1 soldier. I enjoy seeing minifigs turned into real life looking people (Especially space minifigs), and this is one of the best I have seen (Not that I have seen many, but it's still great)
The helmet is especially awesome, and a great artistic interpretation.

Taking to the seas

Stephan Neihoff continues his "Projekt Blacktron II Special Forces" project (This is part 6, I have previously blogged a couple others before) with this boat on presumably alien world. The flora (Fauna? which ever one is the plant one..) certainly doesn't look like any on earth.

I am not normally fond of green water, but here it fits, as it flows with the general colour scheme of Blacktron 2. And that crane is the star of the show (or those cargo containers using the dice part and custom tiles)

I think he punctured those soccer balls

If he didn't, then I'm not sure how Stephan Niehoff attached them in this creation. But regardless, I have never seen soccer balls used for anything other than... soccer balls.

Space cop infiltration? TOSS EM INTO THE LAVA!

Not sure who the builders are (With a name like 3LUG, I assume there were 3 builders) or even what show this was displayed at, but who cares? Large Blacktron 1 base with monorail and lava!

New poll!

You might have seen it already (I know some people have) but in case you haven't, I have a poll over there ------>

Pick your favorite Blacktron theme! Let's see which one come out on top!

That's not something you see everyday

Blacktron Kong? Yeah, you heard me. Builder David Alexander Smith build a Blacktron Kong Mech. Words cannot describe this creation.
Seriously, what was going on in his head when he built this? The shaping is quite good, I should add.

Witty/snarky title here

Not feeling very inventive myself at the moment, and c_bossk sure seems to be in the same boat. Or at least somewhat, as he states that the design of this ship is form one Peter Morris. Either way, it's a cool looking ship.

It was bound to happen

I love Pirate ships, I love Blacktron, really, it was going to happen sooner or later that I would combine the two.

So here is my latest (sorta...) Blacktron MOC, the Floating Russian!

It is crewed by the B.U.C.C.A.N.E.E.R.S. or Blacktron UnderCover Crew And Needlessly Evil Everyday regular Scumbags.

More pictures on my Flickr, if you are interested

Consider me intimidated

I stumbled across this impressive Blacktron 1 spaceship titled the "Intimidator".

Great use of the Batman wings near the front area, and the cockpit uses some clever construction. Also, it lights up!

Head over to Brickshelf (People still use that?) to seem more of this creation by CP5670

Building a building

Building buildings is not one of my strengths. I have yet to build a good looking building, especially a spacey kind of building. Stephan Niehoff doesn't have that problem with this Command Center of his.

That little... probe? Drone?.... off to the right side is pretty awesome too.

Crazy goodness

While I am not a huge fan of those Crazy arms things, nevertheless they have been put to good use here.

Yes, it's just three minifigs, but these pictures are really good, so that's that.

Some beautiful shots, Ben Teoh

[Witty title here]

Yeah, my brain has taken a vacation, but Space Man Nathan has been building a lot of Blacktron MOCs, so his brain has been going full steam. Here is his BT-94:

And here are some motorcycles. They sure look speedy.

Taking out the trash

Febrovery sure churned out a lot of Blacktron rovers this year (Yeah, February ended a week ago, but my internet was out for most of that week) Flickr user Frost built this 'dump truck'

Not really much i can say about this, other than I like it. A lot.

Two kinds of tanks

We've got a walking one, very reminiscent of the AT-AT from Star Wars, by Rat Dude. He calls it the BT-HIW. I bet HIW is an acronym for something

(looks at description)

Yup, it stands for heavy Invasion Walker. Woe to the poor Space pPlice who have to face these monsters

And we got a more traditional tank by Stephan Niehoff. He calls it the Scorpion II. Apparently it's a tank from Halo, but sine I do not play the game, I will just have to take the builder's word for it.

Let's take that old shuffle bot-

-And let's make it walk!

If you didn't figure it out, this is my Neo-Suborbital Guardian. if you don't know what Blacktron 2 set that is, what are you doing on this blog?

This has been an ongoing MOC, I have even posted an earlier version on this blog. Compare here

The main difference is that this one is modular, and can have the cockpit switched around, just like the official sets.
This is one of those MOCs that is never done, always getting tweaked here and there, so you can expect another update in a couple of years ;)

Hey look, I build in yellow!

I know I have a general bias towards the Blacktron 2, but every now and then, I give some love to the original Blacktrons.

This ship was inspired by Star Trek's Klingon Bird of Prey, though I don't know how obvious it is. I may not have captured a BoP, but I feel I really nailed Blacktron 1 evilness.

And hey, I built two of them!

Crikey, them gators are bit stroppy

First off, I would never have thought i would have seen a Blacktron Crocodile rover in my life. Second, Blacktron Crocodile Rovers are awesome.

Way to go David Alexander Smith

The rovers are rolling in

Because it's Febroverery or something like that. Whatevr you want to call it, this little rover by Horcik Designs is awesome, and makes great use of a single one of those corner panels.

The Future Generation

I don't know how well known a fact this is, but versions of the Blacktron 2 boxes had, underneath the Blacktron logo, it said The future generation. It was obviously implying the fact that it was the 2nd Blacktron theme. that tag line immediately came to mind when I saw this MOC by Nuno Taborda

The clean lines and the obvious Blacktron 2 aesthetics, very much makes me think this ship is even further into the future.

Invader of the Future

That title could have a couple of meanings. Whatever. This Invader remake by Lego Dork is awesome. I love the way the builder utilized those castle wall pieces with the Blacktron Tri-force on it.
Like the original, it is modular!

Without a doubt, one of the best Invader remakes I have seen yet.

Take three!

Welcome to 2016, and we got more of the same, More Rey's-speeder-turned-Blacktron. The builder has restricted access, so I can only link you to the Flickr page.

Here is the link.

Without a doubt, this one is my favorite. This just has Blacktron 2 AND Rey's speeder written all over it. Well played Ben Teoh, well played.
